Hey guys!!! Happy New Year!!! Did you enjoy the first year of 2009? I do feel very excited about this. A new year, and a new start. WOW!!!
In Hong Kong, many people went to celebrate. The streets are full of people. Everyone is happy.
Bronzy and my family went celebrate too! We went to Lan Kwai Fong. It is a famous street of Hong Kong. There are many bars.
Bronzy looks very cute with her new Lolita suit. I even drawn some words (2009!!!) on her face.
Many people came and pet Bronzy. Bronzy expecially felt excited when some beautiful girls pet her and screamed, ‘How cute!!!’
Well, I may stop here and have lunch with my family.
Just to say, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Although Bronzy is often naughty, my biggest son, Simon, loves her SO much. When he comes home, the first one he turns to is Bronzy and not me. I feel a little jealous for this. I think if one can play games with a dog but does not need to help to train it, little wonder that it is enjoyable.
I am not upset that Ryan, my other son, does not feel much for Bronzy. Nonetheless, I always feel sorry for my youngest child, Amelia.
She is 168 cm tall, 11 years old, but to face that energetic monster, she fells abject. Bronzy is absoluty excited when she sees Amelia. She will jump to her chest and try to kiss her. Unfortunately, Bronzy always forgets that it is a Golden Retriever, a dog that weighs 26 kg. I think if Bronzy does not change this bad habit, I should call an ambulance for Amelia one day.

Sometimes, I am not really glad to have a Golden Retriever.
Bronzy is…em…a bit…CRAZY, I think. I do not think she can control herself from eating socks, tissues and pulling stripes of leather from my beautiful carpet. Oh my God! Do you know how much it costs? And now she is treating my carpet as a toy! How hurtful! (Both to my heart and to the lovely carpet. And also to my poor wallet.)
I have a few pairs of expensive shoes. I seldom wear them. They are fabulous, and very, very, beautiful.
One day, when I woke up, I saw a extremely sock image – my Berkenstock had been tore into many small pieces, and, Bronzy is enjoying one of my shoes under the table!! OH MY GOD!!! It is a birthday present given by my husband! I was very very furious. I felt I was going to reach the boiling point. But, I thought Bronzy did not know how valuble this pair of shoes are. She just came to me, ragged her tail, and looked at me quietly. Her big eyes told her feelings, it was like, ‘ Sorry, master. Now, NO hard feelings, okay?’
What a pity!! This dog had ruined some of my most valued items. But, I still love her. We dog-lovers are super-humans.

Bronzy was born on 9th mar 2005, a bitch amongst six offsprings from her parents. Her parents were imported pure-breeds from Australia. Her parents’ owners were happy to give away four of the offsprings. They were all adopted next to no time the offer was made. Our luck, and possibly hers, one of the to-be-owners declined and we were most happy to fill in. I never thought I would have another dog after my labrador died from injury, rather pre-maturely when I was in my teens. However, my husband kept encouraging me and said that children and golden retrievers often make the best of friends. So Bronzy came to our home when she was two months old. She was shaking from fear, quiet and shy. She looked so miserable that I let her sleep in our bedroom the first night she came home. I was actually all wrong about her character. Before long, she was gulping everything in sight and tearing things apart. But that’s another story.

Welcome to http://welovedogs.today.com
I am a proud owner of a three year golden retriever, a playful but mostly well behaved bitch. Becoming a dog owner has changed my life all together. I now see things through the eyes of a dog owner. There was a report from a British newspaper on things that make one happy. Being a dog owner ranked much higher than being married, being in love and being rich. I don’t have the slightest doubt about this report. Loyal friendship from my hairy friend / child has soothed my pain, calm my nerves and kept me warm from the cold realities of being a tired mother to three teenage children. I long to share my experience, my joys and tears with you all, mostly dog lovers, I believe. I sincerely believe that if we have more dog owners, we’ll have more peace lovers. The picture I have posted today was takenby apple daily, the local newspaper and was published on ChristmasDay last year, posing my daughter and my golden retriever in a back-drop of Hong Kong skyline.
